Our work in this District has been ongoing for the past 15 years and has included several types of renovations and upgrades at all of the District’s facilities. ADA performed several Facilities Studies to detail the deficiencies of the 22 schools and the administration building. As a result, each facility was renovated to be both “Safe and Sound”.
Exterior work was the primary focus and included structural and masonry repairs. All roof systems were replaced with a polyurethane foam system that provided a longer warranty than standard roofing systems. The window replacement included the replacement of over 1400 openings with metal windows with single pane glass with new aluminum windows with insulated glass and integral blinds. The door replacement included the replacement of over 475 antiquated units with new insulated aluminum/FRP units. Interior renovations were performed at each facility to improve the learning and teaching environment, upgrade the technology, to enhance the auditoriums and to provide handicap accessibility
Parking lots, drives and concrete walks were replaced at each facility to improve drop-off and pick-up procedures and provide safe conditions for all students. New accessible play grounds were installed at each elementary school. The auditoriums at each of the three high schools were renovated to include new finishes, fixed seating, stage curtains and rigging, lighting and air conditioning. Stadium improvements included the replacement of the track with a new rubber system, synthetic turf replacement, a new scoreboard, grand stand and restroom renovation. Major renovation included the relocation of the former Administration Building to the original library area in Parma Senior High School. |
